Facility Operations Supervisor

Knoxville, TN

Beehive Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Facility Operations Supervisor at our Knoxville, TN facility. Working closely with our manufacturing and engineering teams the Facility Operations Supervisor is responsible for the overall maintenance of manufacturing, facility, and support equipment. The right candidate must have a strong project management background and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general industrial maintenance including fabrication, installation and inspections of equipment and devices. May include service or repair work on plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, motors, pumps, electrical systems, pneumatic tube, lighting, flooring, window coverings, walls and other systems.
  • Manage the facility machine maintenance program to include all aspects of planned and unplanned repairs on CNC, additive and machining equipment.
  • Act as tactical lead for facility expansions and change management projects to include vendor / contractor management, design review, space plan management and facility communications
  • Perform periodic inspections of buildings and make recommendations on needed repairs, installation, etc. Adheres to trade practices and codes.
  • Manage the facility ticketing system with a goal of prioritizing requests, workload, and delivering metrics to the corporate facility manager.Collaborating cross functionally with the operations team to ensure minimal downtime
  • Ensure a high level of communications between stakeholders is maintained
  • Facilitate corrective actions from internal facility audits and RCCAs by setting priorities, forecasting, and helping to define resources needed to complete preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

  • 7 years’ experience in both managing facility and machine maintenance programs. (Candidates with CNC and additive equipment knowledge are preferred)
  • Experience with facility design, renovations, repairs and/or construction management.
  • Project management training or certification (Lean, Six Sigma, TPC, etc.)
  • Dynamic and active communicator – able to personally lead selected projects and communicate with external firms and consultants
  • Strong collaboration skills – demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Competent computer skills related to Microsoft office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

 Preferred Additional Skills: 

  • CFM, FMC or LEED accreditation
  • HVAC/electrical certification
  • Lean / Six Sigma or comparable training in project coordination and project management
